Journey

Journey

Journey is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1973, which has sold more than 100 million albums.[citation needed]
The ultimate arena-ballad make out band, Journey was massively succesful in the late 1970s and early ’80s. The act started as a bluesy fusion outfit headed by keyboardist Gregg Rolie. Then they hired vocalist Steve Perry. Early hit “Lights,” an ode to L.A., was changed when a producer thought “the Bay” sounded better. Since their comeback album in 1996, Perry has refused to record or play with the band. Baseball’s World Champion 2006 Chicago White Sox adopted “Don’t Stop Believing” as its theme song.
The band has gone through several phases since its inception by former members of Santana. The band’s greatest commercial success came in the late 1970s through the early 1980s with a series of power ballads and songs such as “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Open Arms”, “Separate Ways”, and “Wheel in the Sky.”

Blues Traveler

Blues Traveler
Blues Traveler is an American rock band formed in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1987. They are best known to general audiences for their hit songs “Run-around”, “Hook” and “But Anyway”.
Fueled by dexterous improvised jamming, John Popper (vocals, harmonica) leads this NYC Blues Rock band with joyful melodies. Blues Traveler had a string of hits in the ’90s typified by “Run-Around” from their fourth album, aptly named “Four.” John Popper, who once weighed 420 pounds, had gastric bypass surgery to help control his obesity. Like the Grateful Dead, the band allows fans to tape their live shows. The band once appeared in the sitcom “Roseanne,” and went on to record the theme song for the show.
As of 2007, the group comprises singer and harmonica virtuoso John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, drummer Brendan Hill, bassist Tad Kinchla and keyboardist Ben Wilson. Tad Kinchla and Ben Wilson joined the band following the death of original bassist Bobby Sheehan in 1999 of a drug overdose in New Orleans, Louisiana.
